Following current tracks and trails over largely level terrain with only the occasional small hill, the exhilarating mountain bike rides skirt a picturesque freshwater dam where wildlife is commonly seen. There are plenty of rest stops en route to photograph the magnificent views, and all necessary safety equipment and bottled water is provided.
Extended mountain bike rides, including ones passing through challenging terrain, may be arranged through the Guest Services Agent. Guided half-day excursions include a gourmet lunch at a remote area camp, and guests are within radio contact of the resort at all times.
Tours depart from the Heritage Precinct either in the morning at 0830 hours, returning for morning tea of scones and billy tea 'swung' by the Field Guide; and also take place in the afternoon at 1600 hours commencing with an afternoon tea of 'damper-bread' fresh from the campfire and billy tea before returning in time for dinner. Mountain bike rides are conducted year-round and scheduled according to weather conditions on the day.
