"Each Field Guide undergoes intensive training - the learning of the local environment, ecology, the wildlife and Bedouin lore, followed by a period of skills training, including health and safety practices, first aid, off-road driving and guest relations practices."
Jorg Schaffler, Senior Field Guide

Al Maha Desert Activities

Exploring the desert landscape for the first time is to discover a world of timelessness and silence. Covering a wide spectrum of interests, guests can select up to two different complimentary activities every day as part of their stay, which are designed to provide the greatest first-hand experiences of this sensory landscape.

A typical day begins with falonry, guided walks and wildlife drives. In the early evening, we take guests out to enjoy the sunset whilst on camel or horseback, or just relaxing on the dunes for sundowners.
